The tweed collection book uses aran tweed, a perfect yarn for autumn/winter. This yarn puts colour into a traditional yarn, with vibrant shades such as fuchsia, apple green and turquoise alongside the classic neutrals, chocolate and grey, all enlivened with bright contrasting knops.

The knits are designed to take on an urban rather than a rustic look, with town meeting country in sharp jackets detailed with lace edgings or ribbon, a cabled jacket and shawl collared sweater for men, and some sporty tops for children. Aran tweed is available in 8 shades and knits up to my existing aran patterns.
